The newest installment – The Last Jedi – is set for a midnight launch on Wednesday night/Thursday morning, with tickets selling slowly.
“We haven’t sold a lot of tickets at the moment but we will make extra cinemas available when one sells out,” cinemas assistant manager David Fawcett said.
“It’s always the case [with fans dressing up]. We expect people to dress up.
“We’ll expect to see the usual selection of Wookiees and Stormtroopers.”
When the last installment – Star Wars: The Force Awakens – premiered in December, 2015, the cinemas had over 700 people in attendance for the midnight screening.
On that occasion, four of the five cinemas were used.
Mr Fawcett expects The Last Jedi to be the biggest movie, in terms of profits, for the year.
Several family-targeted movies are set to launch as well in the coming months, including Paddington 2 (December 21), Disney-Pixar animation Coco (December 26) and The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature (January 11, 2018).
Mr Fawcett said Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (December 26) and Pitch Perfect 3 (January 1, 2018) should make for great teenager movies.
