Rumble Run has been short-listed by Fun Events to come to Bathurst, but only if enough interest can be generated by the community.
Rumble Run is an inflatable obstacle course designed for fun and fitness.
Fun Events chief executive officer Adam McDonald is encouraging the Bathurst community to show its support for the event.
“What we do is we allocate a ranking on how many people have shown interest on the expression of interest page on Facebook and how many sign-up on the VIP page on the website,” he explained.
“From that they move up and down on the rankings. The places we get the most interest is the places we look at setting up at.
“We’ll bring it to any region that wants us to be there but there’s got to be that interest.”
Mr McDonald said the event incorporates over 10 giant inflatables.
“They’re in epic proportion and heaps of fun. They’re like adult jumping castles,” he said.
“Between all the giant inflatables we do other fun stations like space hoppers, power colour and foam stations.
“It’s just a bunch of fun and when it’s set up, it’s just insane.”
Mr McDonald said it does not matter what level of fitness you have.
“Despite the name, you don’t have to run it. You can walk it,” he said.
“If there’s anything you don’t feel comfortable with, you skip the obstacle.
“It’s not timed and it’s not a serious event. It’s just all about having fun.”
Mr McDonald has already described the Bathurst Showground as a viable location to host the event.
He said a date around September or October would work well for Bathurst.
Current locations hosting future events are Ballarat, Canberra, Camden and Rockhampton.
The VIP list can be accessed on the Rumble Run website – rumblerun.com.au – and interest can also be shown on the Facebook event page – Rumble Run Bathurst EOI.
