HE was part of the all conquering Sydney University colts first XV and was named in the NSW Gen Blue under 20s squad, but now Rory Suttor is on the verge of something even more prestigious.

The Bathurst rugby union talent has been named in the Junior Wallabies extended squad.
He joined the rest of 53-man squad at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra on Wednesday for a training camp, which will run until Sunday.
The camp offered the former Australian Schoolboys flanker a chance to impress the coaching staff as he looks to go on and represent his country at next April's Oceania Rugby Under 20s Championship on the Gold Coast then the 2018 World Rugby Under 20s Championship.
New head coach Jason Gilmore was excited to see Suttor and his fellow hopefuls in action at the first of four planned camps.
“I’m really honoured to be taking over the role of the Junior Wallabies head coach,” he said.
“The under 20s is an integral part of the Pathway to Gold and in building talented players for Super Rugby, Aussie Sevens and for the Wallabies.
“We will work extremely hard to build a squad that has high performance success at the Oceania Rugby Under 20s and World Rugby Under 20s Championships and our work starts now to build a group of men capable of delivering.”
Though Suttor faces stiff opposition to earn a spot in the national side which has been grouped alongside New Zealand, Wales and Japan at the world championships, his form his season has been impressive.
Suttor played in 11 of the 18 regular season games the Sydney University colts firsts contested this season and on each of those occasions, ranked in the best on ground.
He crossed for four tries on the way to helping the students claim the minor premiership, including a double in the win over Warringah.
Suttor nabbed another try in the semi-final and in the W McMahon Shield decider which Sydney University won 63-15 over Eastern Suburbs, it was the Bathurst product who scored the opener.
The win capped off an undefeated season for Suttor's side, which amassed an impressive 1,021 points for and conceded 273 in their 21 games.
On the back of his efforts for the students, Suttor was named in the 42-man NSW Gen Blue Under 20s squad for 2018.
Saint Stanislaus' College graduate Bo Abra, a member of the Easts club, also made that squad. The duo will train until Christmas with the aim of making the side to contest next year's national under 20s championship.
