There are two people in particular, Graeme Stapleton and Phil Church, who should be recognised for their many hours of hard work in ensuring that the players are well looked after.
Graeme and Phil have supplied all the food for the players in the Saturday afternoon competition for many years.
Graeme has been cooking for the players for more than 10 years and is very involved in the social scene, as well as playing.
Stumpy, as we call him, has worked extremely hard over the years as a committeeman and a cook and has a wide range of extravagant dishes.
Phil has cooked for the players for nearly five years and has the players wanting his recipes for his delicious cakes.
Phil has been a committeeman, maintenance man, court supervisor and assistant coach at the club for many years. His hard work in getting the mini courts up and running was also a great achievement.
The players appreciate enormously Graeme and Phil’s time and effort.
If there was an Academy Award for loyalty, commitment and dedication to the players and the club, Graeme and Phil would win in a canter.
