The competition spreads Christmas cheer with lights and decorations while raising money for the 2BS Bathurst Lions Christmas Miracle Appeal.
The judges’ choice awards was presented to the Henry family on Monday, with 11-year-old Jake’s and nine-year-old Piper’s hard work paying off.
“They probably started decorating the place about two to three weeks before judging began,” mother Belinda Henry said.
“They talked about it for ages and how they were going to decorate the house. They really love Christmas.”
The property at 10 Musgrove Avenue features a Kombi van, kangaroo, an outdoor cinema, popcorn machine and a Santa’s bar.
A snow machine is also featured at the property.
Decorating there home is a tradition and the Henrys have now entered the competition for a third time this year.
“It’s a lovely time of year. They love giving back to the community, to give to people who haven’t got much,” Belinda said.
Father Adrian Henry is encouraging people to check out the their house.
“Everyone should come past and check it out,” he said.
“It’s all about the Christmas Miracle Appeal and giving back.”
The highly commended award went to 87 Boundary Road, while 85 Colville Street come first in the registration prize category.
