NSW Police have confirmed there was a stabbing at the prison around noon on Tuesday, December 12.
A spokesperson for NSW Ambulances said ambulances were responding to a man with multiple stab wounds at a Great Western Highway address in Marrangaroo.
The spokesperson said a man believed to be 28 years of age is being treated at the scene for wounds to the upper torso and throat. He may also have fractured ribs.
“We are still on the scene with the patient, deciding whether to take the man to hospital by helicopter or road,” the spokesperson said.
He said there was a possible second patient.
“That’s all we have at this stage.”
