Bathurst Golf Club will host the event, with entrants competing in the four-man ambrose format across nine holes of golf.
Mr Rendell passed away from a brain aneurysm in 2015 and all funds raised on Sunday will go to the Central West Brain Injury Action Group.
The money will go to the group thanks to the input from Mr Rendell’s parents.
“We thought about doing some sort of fundraiser after he passed,” friend Brodie McLean said.
“We come up with the competition and we asked [John Rendell’s] parents where they would like the money to go. They suggested the action group because they helped him out in his late teens when he had a bad injury.”
Interested competitors are encouraged to call Justin Mobbs at 0419 607 767 or Brodie McLean at 411 427 803, to register.
Cost is $75 per person which includes green fees, lunch and drinks whilst on the course.
A silent auction and raffle will also be held at the golf club on the day and afterwards, a courtesy bus will escort competitors to the Kings Hotel.
