Bathurst Library will be closed for refurbishment from December 18 to reopen on January 29, 2018. The facility will be upgraded with new carpet, shelving, furniture and technology. A pop-up library will be at the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum, and a mobile van will be on the library forecourt from January 2-23 each Monday, Tuesday and Friday. A Traditional Night Before Christmas will be held again from 5.30pm-8.30pm at Miss Traill’s House and Garden. There’ll be carols and the Carillon Show Band.
A traditional service of Nine Lessons and Carols featuring the All Saints’ Cathedral Choir will be held from 6pm at All Saints’ Cathedral.
Wednesday, December 20
Abercrombie House’s radio play, The Three Wise Men – The Untold Story, written by Fred Madden, will be performed at the historic house on December 20 and 21 at 6.30pm for 7pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 14. Call 6331 4929 to book.
Friday, December 22
Ever wanted to take a peek inside St James Church in Christie Street, Raglan? Now is your chance. The church will be open to the public on Friday and Saturday, December 22 and 23 from 7.30pm-9pm. There will be a Christmas story at 7.30pm followed by carols. There will also be a sausage sizzle and variety store, raising much-needed money for the Raglan community music group.
