A 19-YEAR-OLD man is in hospital in a critical condition following a horror crash that also left five of his mates with injuries.

Emergency services were called to the Mid Western Highway at Evans Plains, 15 kilometres west of Bathurst, at 4.15am on Sunday morning with reports a utility had left the road.
Chifley Local Area Command Duty Officer Inspector Gerard Powell said a white Mitsubishi Triton ute was travelling west with five passengers when the crash occurred.
“The driver lost control, left the southern side of the road and collided with an Armco railing, struck a concrete culvert and came to rest on its side,” he said.
Inspector Powell said four men were travelling within the car, with another two in the tray of the vehicle.
The six men were aged between 18 and 21 years old.
Inspector Powell said the 20-year-old male driver from Blayney returned a positive roadside breath test reading and was transported to Bathurst Police Station where he returned a mid-range reading.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said a 21-year-old man was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition with suspected spinal injures.
She said three men had serious injuries following the crash and two were in a stable condition.

All were transported to hospital with Bathurst, Orange and Cowra hospitals accepting patients.
Blayney man Josh Farr, 21, has been identified as one of the passengers.

The driver was arrested and charged with multiple offences, including: Dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm; negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm; four counts of cause bodily harm by willful neglect in charge of motor vehicle; mid range PCA; unsecured passengers and not displaying p-plates.
He will appear before Bathurst Local Court next month.
