The seven-year-old loves to draw and colour, and decided that she would create a fundraiser to help support those in need in the lead up to Christmas.
Maddison’s idea was simple – she would create bright, colourful, original artworks all for the price of a $2 donation.
All funds raised through the initiative would be split between the children’s ward at Bathurst Hospital and the local St Vincent de Paul shop on Keppel Street.
“I’m drawing for the poor people and the sick kids in hospital for Christmas,” she said.

In the past few weeks she has completed more than 20 artworks and in the process raised $115.
Maddison has used a instructional video that she discovered on YouTube to help her create her masterpieces.
Among the images she drew were laughing faces, as well as smiling watermelons, ice blocks, birthday cakes and even bacon and eggs.
“The owl is the most popular,” Maddison said.
“It’s been fun, they take about 30 minutes each.”
