Great escape
MEGAN Jackson is a self-declared “Sydney escapee” having moved to Bathurst with her family five years ago.
In Sydney, Megan worked as an IT specialist, however, she has turned to volunteering following her move to Bathurst. She goes into several local schools where she helps out with the P&C, participates in the home reader program, works in the uniform shop and teaches ethics.
Recently Megan has taken on the role of piano accompanist with several primary school choirs.
Megan got her grounding in music as a church organists in her teens and early 20s. Now she sings with Bathurst’s Allegri Singers after a neighbour introduced her to the choir and in recent years she’s take on the role of choir president.
Megan also volunteers at 2MCE presenting the Thursday edition of Talking Newspaper with co-host Vic and is presenter of the Morning Music program on Thursdays from 11am.
