Electric car global powerhouse, Tesla, has installed the temporary Supercharger to help “fuel” the expansion of its models in the Australian market, including the more affordable Model 3.
Tesla owners can now drive from Brisbane along the ‘Supercharger Network’ through Queensland, NSW and South Australia to Adelaide, and those wishing to travel to inland regional centres have access to Destination Chargers for longer stops.

Mayor Graeme Hanger said the installation of the Supercharger strengthens the city’s reputation as a centre for innovation.
“Bathurst’s proximity to Sydney and to other regional centres makes it an ideal location for the facility,” Cr Hanger said.
“This installation will mean that Tesla owners can not only visit Bathurst, but continue to explore the region.”
Located in parking areas in the Town Square Precinct and adjacent to the former TAFE complex, Supercharging allows drivers to stretch their legs, grab a coffee and see some of the local sites whilst their car charges.
This is a temporary charging station as the design and approvals for a permanent charging hub are finalised in the New Year.
