BATHURST talent Jono Dean and his Adelaide Strikers will look to make it two from two to start their Big Bash League campaign this Thursday when they take on the Sydney Sixers at the SCG.
Dean and the boys in blue got off to a winning start on Friday with a dominant performance at home against the Sydney Thunder.
Strikers set the Thunder a target of 164 before rolling their opponents for just 110 runs.
Dean, batting at number seven, made a brief appearance at the crease for the Strikers but he made the most of his time there.
In back-to-back balls Dean fired off a four and a six over mid-wicket off the bowling of Andrew Fekete.
Dean finished with 12 runs off six deliveries.
The Strikers now travel to face a Sixers team who will be hurting following a heavy defeat to the Perth Scorchers on Saturday.
Strikers’ last match of the year will be a home fixture against the Heat on New Year’s Eve.
