FIREWORKS Australia has promised an incredible display of lights and colours for Bathurst on New Year’s Eve.

The company will join the city for another year to deliver the family fireworks at Party in the Park.

Fireworks Australia operations manager Murray Guest said the location can limit the display in some ways, but it allows those watching to get a really clear view of what is happening.

“It is a great viewing area because it is a bit elevated, so people can be closer to the fireworks and see them a bit better,” he said.

As for the display itself, it will run for approximately 10 minutes and showcase an array of colours and designs.

“It will be pretty intense in that 10 minutes,” Mr Guest said.

“We will have smiley faces and love hearts, which the kids really enjoy.

“[There will be] every colour under the rainbow – we like to keep it colourful.”

The fireworks display will kick off at 9pm on New Year’s Eve.

While people will be able to see them in the sky from different parts of Bathurst, the best viewing area will be Victoria Park.

Mr Guest said Fireworks Australia has enjoyed coming to Bathurst in recent years and looks forward to delivering another amazing display.

“We’re going bigger and better, higher and louder; that is our plan this year,” he said.

Fireworks Australia has worked on major events such as Summernats and the Kiama Sky Show.
