Trevor-Jones, who has given away wicket-keeping this season to focus on his batting, hit 59 at Allan Border Oval in a match which saw his Sydney Uni side emerge convincing 155-run victors over Mosman.
As good as Trevor-Jones’ knock was – facing 120 deliveries in his two hours at the crease – Sydney Uni skipper and fellow opener Nick Larkin was the star. He posted the highest score in the competition so far this season – an epic 246 – which featured five sixes and 25 fours.
Together Larkin and Trevor-Jones put on 133 first the first wicket as they laid the foundation for Sydney Uni’s 7-413 declared on Saturday.
On Sunday the students went on with the job, dismissing Mosman for 276.
For Trevor-Jones, Saturday marked the third time he had gone beyond 50 this season, adding to his 144 against Blacktown in round two and 68 against Hawkesbury in round four.
It was his fourth half century overall in the top grade, while his partnership with Larkin was the third best of his NSW Premier Cricket career and marked the third time that pair had been involved in a century partnership.
Trevor-Jones has made 1,002 first grade runs since his first grade debut for Sydney Uni in 2014-15.
