That’s when the Real Desire x Midnight In Paris gelding will face a quality field at Menangle in the Cordina Foods Pace (1,609 metres) and battle for a place in a $30,000 final.
Mrs Browns Boy made her debut for Turnbull on May 26 at Dubbo when winning by a head. That was the first of nine consecutive victories he has produced and will likely see him start as the favourite on Saturday.
Turnbull’s five-year-old will go from barrier three in what will be his third start at Menangle, while he has never been beaten over the mile journey.
Still, his rivals include some handy runners, including Lockton Luck from the stables of Amanda Turnbull’s brother Josh Turnbull. He will go from barrier one with John O’Shea in the gig.
