THERE is no denying Parade is an animal lover – it doesn’t matter whether they’re cute, furry and come with four legs, or they are the winged type.

But, any opportunity to get up close and personal with a dog is always guaranteed to bring a smile to her face.
During an interview this week Parade was greeted by a very friendly cocker spaniel.
This dog has become a familiar face in a certain Bathurst office and it got Parade thinking how much she would love to bring her own dogs into work.
And, while the idea might sound great, she’s guessing too much smooching with dogs, and not enough writing, would probably not keep the boss happy.
Learning lots at TAFE’s open day
THE decision to commit yourself to study can be difficult, but Parade has heard that the TAFE Bathurst campus open week is continuing until this Friday.
Parade has been told there are around 1200 courses on offer to study.
Having previously studied through TAFE NSW before, Parade is always interested to see what’s on offer, and this year it looks like an awful lot of great things.
Oven door’s open for a few days
SUMMER has definitely arrived in Bathurst this week.
Parade loves keeping an eye on the weather, and the rest of this week looks set to be a scorcher.
While we’re not immune to hot weather here in Bathurst, the Bureau of Meteorology say the average long-term maximum for this city during January is 28.1 degrees.
However, the next few days are set to soar way above this, starting with 34 degrees on Thursday, followed by consecutive days in the high 30s until Tuesday next week.
So brace yourself Bathurst, it may just feel like someone’s turned the oven onto high and forgotten to shut the door.
If you are, however, getting out and about during the hot weather feel free to take a photo and send it in for our daily Western Advocate’s Facebook weather photograph.
