Henry Bialowas, Geoff Brown and Keith Manning draw upon their combined musical knowledge to provide insights and commentary into the artists and bands featured on the show.
Martin Hayes also features jazz during Free Association on Mondays from 8pm, while Margaret Hargans’ Morning Music on Tuesday often plays jazz from 9am.
White’s back in the chair
Popular Country Music Club presenter Chris Tobin is taking a break for a couple of weeks. Alan Taylor will present the program on January 21, and we welcome back John White on January 28. Enjoy your break, Chris.
Share your interest on air
Bathurst is fortunate to have a great range of service and social clubs available to join and there is generally a group or club to cover most areas of interest.
We invite any special interest groups in the area to contact us to discuss presenting a radio program on your group’s activities. On-air training is provided. To find out more, visit 2MCE or email moconnor@csu.edu.au.
The coolest show on air set for return
Even though these summer days have been hot, the Bathurst region is traditionally known as a cool-climate area with beautiful landscapes and fascinating people.
Susan Lacey and Monica Morse return in 2018 to present Cool Climate Living, telling the stories of our local people and our history.
On this week’s program, Susan features the stories and history of the small arms factory in Lithgow.
In the coming weeks you’ll hear about Ophir mining, the work of supportive organisations and autumn colours.
Each week Susan and Monica sit down with interesting people and record their stories. We’re looking for more presenters to be involved with making the program. If you have an interest the region’s stories and would like to share them with our audience, contact Michelle at 2MCE on 6338 4774.
Cool Climate Living is on air each Friday from 11am and gets repeated on Wednesdays at 11am.
