Gulargambone’s Hannah Ferguson, 19, and her boyfriend Reagen Skinner lost their lives in the seven-vehicle pile-up on the Newell Highway north of the city.
The couple had met at Bathurst CSU where they were studying.
The institution was among those to respond to the tragedy.
“While the majority of students are currently on summer holidays, support is available and will be provided to peers and fellow students, including offers of counselling through the university’s Office for Students,” CSU Bathurst head of campus Associate Professor Chika Anyanwu said.
“The university is also supporting its staff who have been affected by this sad event.
“Confidential counselling is available for staff through the university’s Employee Assistance Program on 1300 361 008.”
