The club has received approval to develop a purpose-built obstacle course training facility in the back court of the Morrisset Street facility.
Manager David Hitchick said it was a space the club realised it needed last year.
"I think we've been planning it for about nine months," he said.
"We started to run Parkour in January last year and by Easter we realised we weren't going to have enough space for all the kids that wanted to do it."
Parkour is a movement activity developed from military obstacle course training, where participants can run, swing, climb and jump to get from start to finish.
Mr Hitchick said there are three beginner level classes at Bathurst PCYC with around 30 children in each.
With the higher level classes included, there would be around 110 children who take Parkour at the club on a regular basis.
Mr Hitchick said that children love to try jumping off things and other dangerous activities, so Parkour provides a safer environment for them to do this.
He said the club had to contact head office to get the finances for the new activity space.
"It is actually all PCYC funding. We've had a few years now where we've been operating at budget and so we put a business case together for head office," he said.
With good financial management on its side, head office was confident in approving the plans for the activity space.
The space will be fully enclosed and feature a full Ninja Warrior-style warped wall, cargo net and other rope climbs, salmon ladder, monkey bars and some weights-related equipment.
The club's boxing ring will also be able to come out of storage.
"We're excited to have a new junior boxing coach in this year to bring some stability to that program," Mr Hitchick said.
Mr Hitchick expects construction will begin in the next couple of weeks.
"We're planning on having things here by Easter," he said.
He added that PCYC classes, including Parkour, start this week and people should sign up fast so they don’t miss out.
