The Swap Meet, held every year by the Bathurst Historic Car Club is a draw card for people from all over the state, with people coming from Sydney, Cowra, Orange, Wattle Flat and Dubbo to see what was on offer.
Swap Meet committee member, Steve Crain said he thought the crowd was even bigger this year.
“It’s been terrific. I got here at 4.20am and there were people coming in. Between 6am and 7am the stream of people was constant, even now [10am] they are flowing in,” he said.
Mr Crain said the swap meet is like an over sized garage sale, where people find both trash and treasure.
“We always get a lot of interest because people know its on.”
Chris Young, who came from Sydney, and picked up a kayak at the event for $450 loved the meet.
“It’s terrific, brilliant, I’ve come up here before,” he said.
Paul Jones, who travelled from Cowra to have a look said the meet is well known across the state.
“It’s great, it’s always a good one here,” he said.
Ray Green, who had a stall at the event, said sales had been pretty good.
“I wouldn’t miss it,” he said.
