He will make his Games debut as a member of Australia’s 28-member shooting team which will compete at the Belmont Shooting Centre in Brisbane.
Shooting Australia is hopeful that Emms can once more impress on the world stage.
“We are looking for amazing things from the two rookie fullbore shooters Jim Bailey and Ben Emms, who have big boots to fill,” Shooting Australia said.
“Bruce Scott won the Commonwealth Games gold medal in the open fullbore at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in 2006.”
Australian Team Chef de Misson Steve Moneghetti congratulated Emms and the rest of the shooters for their inclusion in the team.
“We are announcing more and more athletes onto the Australian team every day and it really is exciting for them,” Moneghetti said.
