NSW were bowled out in their second innings for 179 shortly after lunch with Ed Cowan top scoring with 55 to set the home side 169 to win.
The Warriors clearly decided to knock the runs off quickly and went at 5.17 an over to be 3-93 at tea.
They have lost Cameron Bancroft (13), Will Bosisto (22) and Hilton Cartwright (32) but also made good inroads.
Shaun Marsh is not out 22 with Mitch Marsh to join him after the break.
NSW began the day 3-77 with a 66-run lead. Cowan was their best hope to get close to a 200-run lead. He ended up making 55 with the Blues finishing with 179.
NSW suffered a further blow with paceman Trent Copeland copping a nasty hit to the elbow off Jhye Richardson. He returned to bat but was clearly in quite some pain.
Simon Mackin (6-43) and Matt Kelly (4-25) starred with the ball for WA.
Copeland bravely shook off his discomfort to bowl for NSW and trapped Bosisto leg before wicket but WA's quick progress meant they were within reach of victory.
Cartwright was particularly savage, hitting seven boundaries in his run-a-ball 32 before falling on the last delivery before tea, caught behind off Gurinder Sandhu.
