The customer, who was a former employee of the store, noticed the snake when she was reaching for some underwear and saw it staring at her.
The baby snake wasn’t aggressive and was just happy to be relaxing in the air conditioned store.
Target closed its doors for 15 to 20 minutes while staff shooed the snake out the fire exist.
“No one got hurt and we closed the doors to make sure that customer safety came first,” manager Christie McAndrew said.
Apparently this isn’t the first snake to appear today. Christie said the police had reported several call-outs to deal with reptiles on the loose.
