Experienced Orange Goldseekers orienteerer Anna Fitzgerald was not only was the first woman home in back-to-back rounds of the Bathurst Orienteering Series but she also claimed the overall victory.

Round two of the series was contested at Bathurst TAFE with Fitzgerald recording a time of 17 minutes and 18 second for the 2.2 kilometre hard course defeating, one of the event organisers Chris Green of Bathurst and Beattie Humphries.
Fitzgerald, who has raced in Europe, doubled her success by taking out the 1.6km moderate course.
Women’s athletes dominated the podium with Kim Melhuish coming home in second and Emily Boehm in third.
Robbie and Mick Warren were the first family team home, defeating Anna, Roy and Hugh Thomas who in turn beat Russell and Nicole Deans.
Charles Keir was first home in the 1.2km short course.
Round three of the series is this Sunday at Charles Sturt University.
