On Wednesday Harness Racing New South Wales stewards conducted an inquiry into a report received from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory that triamcinolone acetonide had been detected in the blood sample taken from Turnbull’s Taihape Sunset following his win at Dubbo on November 15, 2017.
Turnbull had previously informed HRNSW stewards about a procedure on Taihape Sunset conducted by a registered veterinarian on October 31, 2017.
However, the triamcinolone acetonide had not cleared from Taihape Sunset’s system before he raced at Dubbo, leading to the infringement.
In considering penalty stewards were mindful that Turnbull had pleaded guilty, that this was her first prohibited substance offence, her training record and other personal subjective facts.
