BATHURST City are chasing 74 runs for victory in their Bathurst District Cricket Association first grade match against City Colts, and one of the big reasons Redbacks find themselves in a strong position is the bowling of Greg Adams.

Adams picked up figures of 5-14 from his 10 overs in a devastating bowling performance.
“It doesn’t happen very often, and it was a bit unexpected to get thrown the ball as first change,” Adams said.
“It was a good feeling, especially to get that last wicket. It’s probably the best figures I’ve had in a first grade game.”
On the bright side for Colts is that they have Redbacks three wickets down in their pursuit of 142 at the Sportsground.
Rory Daburger (12) and Matt Willis (7) are the Bathurst City batsmen who are currently at the crease.
Adams, who is away for the second weekend’s play, is hopeful the middle order can get the job done.
“I think we’re sitting in a really solid position at the moment. We’ll have Mark Day and Trent Hemsworth in this Saturday and they’re still to bat.
“We’ve got Matt Willis and Rory Daburger in at the moment. Rory’s doing really well and it would be good to see him get a few runs.
“I think everything’s coming together nicely for us as a team. We were a bit out of sorts during the first half of the season … but I think everyone’s finding their rhythm.”
A win will be vital for both clubs in their attempt to sure up a top two position heading into the final round of the regular season.
