Since their tree change to a farm on the outskirts of Bathurst a few years ago, they couple have been keen to help out a charity that supports farmers.
Now, they have teamed up with Rural Aid, a charity founded in 2015 to provide a holistic support program to rural Australia.
“We feel so grateful. We’re both in really good places at this moment in time, and we don’t take that for granted for one second,” Mrs Denyer posted to her blog on Thursday.
The couple said they wanted to lend their support to a charity that had not received the spotlight it deserved, and one they could help propel into the national media.
Recently the Denyers met with Rural Aid founders Charles and Tracy Alder on a farm in the Upper Hunter to see first-hand what an impact the charity can have.
“I can’t express to you the tragedy when you meet these humble, hardworking people struggling to try to make ends meet,” Mrs Denyer said.
“They have families of their own. They’ve got no [stock] feed left. They’ve got no money to just go and buy more feed. Some of them have to even buy water.”
One of Rural Aid’s initiatives that the Denyers are particularly interested in is the Buy a Bale campaign.

For a donation of just $20, Rural Aid will purchase a bale of hay which is then distributed to farmers in need.
So far, the charity has delivered more than 200,000 bales of hay across the country.

Mr Alder said since the Denyers have come on board it had “opened new doors” and already resulted in new and significant donations.
Rural Aid also runs other initiatives across regional Australia, including itsfarm army, farm minding services and farm rescues where tradies and volunteers undertake building work on properties.
Mrs Denyer has encouraged the community to get behind Rural Aid, and make a donation in the Buy A Bale barrel which will be located in Panorama Real Estate from Saturday.
