IN the lead-up to International Women’s Day on March 8, Bathurst Regional Council – in partnership with Charles Sturt University – is inviting the community to celebrate with a day at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre.

The day on Sunday, March 4 will include speakers, lunch and a streaming of the All About Women sessions from the Sydney Opera House.
Guest speaker for the day is Jenny Roberts from the CSU vice-chancellor's leadership team.
Jenny is passionate about the student journey and how professional staff can contribute to student success and student leadership development.
She has extensive experience in managing student admissions and advice, course advice, campus receptions and student life and wellbeing.
Sophie Jones and Abby Smith (Smith & Jones) will be the MCs for the day and will facilitate a panel discussion with comedian and actress Kate Smith and writer Kim Kelly centred on feminism and social media.
The VIEW (Voice, Interest, Education of Women) Club will also be represented on the day.
The Lunch Runner will be providing lunch. Tickets are $7 and streaming from the Sydney Opera House will begin at 1pm. Phone 6333 6161.
On International Women’s Day, a free morning tea will be held at The Neighbourhood Centre, 95 Russell Street, from 10am-noon.
