A SERVING NSW police officer will appear in Dubbo Local Court in April to face charges of sexual intercourse without consent and assault with an act of indecency.

The charges relate to an incident in the state’s New England region.
Police will allege the off-duty officer went to a home in Tamworth about 3am on Monday, January 22 where two assaults occurred.
The incidents were reported to officers attached to Oxley Police District on Thursday, January 25 and an investigation immediately commenced.
After extensive inquiries, a 27-year-old senior constable was arrested at a property in the Canobolas district following the execution of a search warrant.
The man was taken to Dubbo police station where he was charged. He has been granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday, April 18.
