Last year there was a wonderful array of creative works submitted by everyone from school students to professional artists.
This year’s theme is “polystyrene”.
Whether you are an aspiring or professional artist, creative thinker, or waste warrior, this is your chance to rethink waste, use your imagination, see your artwork on display, and maybe win one of the many prizes.

The Neighbourhood Centre
THE Neighbourhood Centre is an important and much-loved community space. It is uniquely placed to play a strong role in the delivery of a range of important services that encourages people to connect and get involved in the community.
It provides people with an opportunity to learn about associations, get involved in interest groups, leisure activities, self-help groups and community services, therefore contributing to the lives of children, young people, families and the elderly.
The centre recently underwent the first stage of renovations to open up the foyer and transform the area into a space for the community to pop by and enjoy the centre.
The rest of the refurbishment includes upgrading the gardens and carpeting and modernising the remainder of the building. Council contributed $190,000 to the project costs and the state government has contributed $25,000.

Know the rules because it might just save your life
DO you know what tailgating is? What about the merging rules or who gives way at a roundabout?
This week is Road Rules Awareness Week - the perfect time for all road users to refresh their knowledge of the NSW road rules.
We have around 350 road rules in NSW and they are there to save lives.
Last year, 392 people lost their lives on NSW roads. Every 41 minutes, someone is either killed or seriously injured. We all have a role to play in bringing down the road toll.
We know that human error is a large factor in crashes, so it’s important all drivers know and understand the rules, obey the signs and keep an eye out when on the road.
Often it’s the most simple rules people find confusing – for example, who gives way at a roundabout? Or where and when you can legally and safely cross the road.
This week is the perfect opportunity to find out the answers to those questions and any others you may have.
Road Rules Awareness Week will run until this Sunday, March 4. For more information on road rules, visit www.rms.nsw.gov.au/roads/safety-rules/road-rules/index.html.
Prospectus will help us take care of business
THE Regional NSW Investment Prospectus has officially been launched, highlighting the benefits and opportunities associated with domestic and international investment in our region.
The Investment Prospectus is an interactive online tool designed to attract national and international investment to regional NSW.
The interactive prospectus is not only a tool for prospective investors, it’s a tool for businesses seeking investment, and in some cases will work to “match-make” investors with those businesses looking to grow.
The Investment Prospectus will focus on supporting businesses that are expanding and developing new market opportunities, setting up greenfield operations or planning to relocate to regional NSW.
