I rang Sensis (13 23 78) and was given the option of requesting to have a phone book delivered for the next three years.
Upon accepting this offer, I was considerately informed that delivery would take eight to 10 weeks.
As an alternative to waiting up to two-and-a-half months for my phone book, I was told that residents in the 2795 postcode area could collect a phone book at either post offices or convenience stores in the following locations: Mudgee, Molong, Cowra, Young, Oberon, Lithgow or Orange.
Why is the information concerning the arrangements for delivery of phone books a state secret? Why does delivery take so long?
Why is there no “serve yourself” location in Bathurst according to the information given on the Sensis hotline?
