The 33rd annual Scots School Highland Gathering is on this Sunday, and new this year is the Scottie dog costume competition.
All west highland terriers and Scottish terriers are welcome to compete, the only condition – they have to be dressed up.
Prizes are on offer for the best costume, best owner/dog combo and people’s choice award.

Scots School’s Lynda Ireland said they have already had interest, including from Kim Bagot who owns a west highland terrier called Millie.
Entrants must check in on the day at 12.15pm.
“There’s no fee to participate, but donations are welcome and the contest begins promptly at 12.30pm,” Mrs Ireland said.
The Gathering also features pipes and drums bands, highland dancers and the hugely-popular professional strongmen.
The day runs from 10am until 4pm this Sunday at The Scots School. Entry is $2 and children under five are free.
