Chifley Police District crime manager Luke Rankin said police would allege they seized half a kilogram of the drug – also known as ice – plus $6000 in cash as part of ongoing investigations under Strike Force Garnier.
“Following on from the arrests and warrants executed last Thursday, about 2.30pm on Saturday, March 10 police executed a crime scene warrant at a storage unit in Bathurst,” Detective Inspector Rankin said.
“It will be alleged that during the execution of that warrant police seized over half a kilogram of methamphetamine (ice) and over $6000 cash.
“While no person has yet been charged in relation to the seizure of these specific items they are suspected of being connected with the criminal syndicate that is being investigated by Strike Force Garnier, and that investigation is continuing.”
Four men alleged to be involved in the drug distribution syndicate remain behind bars following their arrest last Thursday.
Jacob Matthew Morrison, 25, of Suttor Street; Tony James Simmons, 31, of Rankin Street; Gregory Charles Campbell 61, of Upfold Street; and Aiden John Hartnett, 22, of Pacific Way were all refused bail.
Simmons will reappear before Bathurst Local Court on Monday while Morrison, Campbell and Hartnett will reappear on May 7.
A 20-year-old woman will make her first appearance in court on Monday, April 9.
