The mercury reached a top of 33.5 degrees, while gusty winds were recorded at a maximum of 67km/h.
NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) crews were called to a potential smoke sighting at the location of a pile burn conducted a number of days ago off Limekilns Road at Forest Grove.
Meanwhile, temperatures are predicted to stay warm on Monday with a top of 31 degrees predicted for Bathurst.
The NSW RFS has issued a very high fire danger alert for Monday for the Central Ranges which includes the following council areas: Bathurst, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Lithgow, Mid Western, Oberon and Orange.
