According to Weatherzone, Bathurst has sweltered through one the hottest Marches since records started almost 50 years.
By comparison, only one March day hit 30 degrees or more in 2017.
Bathurst is currently averaging a high of 28.3 degrees for the month, 3.6 warmer than the average of 24.7.
Weatherzone meteorologist Graeme Brittain said a lack of cold front activity had contributed to the above average temperatures.
“Hot air has built up across NSW and allowed heat to stay around,” he said.
“However, we can expect a cold front this week in NSW.”
This month’s hottest day was recorded on Sunday, with the mercury hitting 34 degrees.
Currently, the average minimum for the month is 12.7, 2.1 more than the long term average of 10.6.
