This year the competition is especially significant, with the show celebrating 150 years.
Showgirl steward, Vicki Wilson said the competition is open to any young woman aged 18-24 who wants to become an ambassador for the agricultural show movement,or is already involved in the local community, agricultural community or just wants to have a lot of fun.
Ms Wilson said entrants always have an amazing expereince.
“You will get involved in the community and meet other girls, as well as receive a three day VIP pass to our great show, and many more great prizes.”
“All the girls who enter really embrace it,” she said.
Ms Wilson said she is keen to hear from any young women interested in the competition, but time is running out to enter.
Entries close at 5pm on March 23.
“I’ve handed out entry forms to a couple of women, but I’m keen for girls I haven’t spoken to yet to get in touch with me.”
Ms Wilson said the Miss Showgirl Competition is always one of the highlights of the show, and thanked sponsors for their support.
