The Bathurst office came away from Raine and Horne’s NSW-ACT State Awards with four trophies.
These awards were among 17 won by regional offices.
Raine and Horne Bathurst was named among the groups’ leading three country offices, calculated on the value of their sales and ranked seventh in NSW calculated on the dollar value of its sales.
The Bathurst firm also scored second in the top office category in NSW and ACT based on its number of sales, just ahead of Raine and Horne Dubbo.
Stellar sales stars were inducted into the prestigious Chairman’s Club, which recognises the top performing sales agents based on number of sales and dollar value of sales, with a high volume of agents from the Central West region being inducted.
Raine and Horne Bathurst co-principal Michelle Mackay was among the inductees.
Ms Mackay also came in 10th place for Top Salesperson (Principal) for the number of sales, while one of her co-principals, Grant Maskill-Dowton placed fifth in the same category.
The Bathurst office’s third principal, Matt Clifton, also claimed a very prestigious honour at the ceremony, walking away with the Graeme Skarratt Award.
Mr Skarratt was employed by Raine and Horne for 60 years, much of which was spent as the right-hand man of former Raine and Horne chairman, Max Raine.
Mr Clifton said he had no idea he was the recipient until his name was called out.
“I was thrilled. The person who the award is named after was a stalwart in the Raine and Horne network and very well regarded, so it was an honour,” he said.
When asked what it was making the regional offices, Bathurst in particular, perform so well, Mr Clifton said it had a lot to do with the personnel in those offices.
“The city offices had a pretty strong market, but I think we just had a strong sales team that have been around a really long time and have good relationships in the community and market knowledge,” he said.
On top of their wins in the Raine and Horne state awards, the Bathurst office also won Agency of the Year in the RateMyAgent 2018 Agent of the Year awards.
