Presbyterian Church of Australia in NSW general manager Jeof Falls has written to parents at both schools to tell them the new name from 2019 will be Scots ASC College – a name, he said, that “connects and builds on the best of both The Scots School and All Saints’ College”.
And the new college will be the first in Bathurst to introduce a three-tier structure comprising Junior School (Kindergarten to Year 4), Middle School (Years 5-8) and Senior School (Years 9-12).
Junior School and Middle School classes will be held on the current All Saints’ campus in 2019 with Senior School classes on The Scots campus.

“The creation of a Middle School allows for an educational model that is replicated in many outstanding independent schools in Australia but which will be unique in Bathurst,” the letter to parents states.
“Such a model allows for home room teachers for some core subjects in Years 7 and 8 so that the ‘jump’ from primary school to secondary school is not as great.
“This model also allows for some specialist secondary school teachers to teach Years 5 and 6 at a time when they are ready to experience more diversity in teaching style and content.”
All boarders will be accommodated at The Scots campus from 2019 following an upgrade of facilities while there will be no change to existing pre-kindergarten classes at either of the schools.
The latest developments follow several weeks of meetings among the schools’ integration committee and have been made in consultation with the school boards, Presbyterian Church trustees and Association of Independent Schools of NSW.
Staff from both schools were briefed on the changes during a meeting at All Saints’ College on Tuesday afternoon.
