Across the three days, Young Life had 62 helpers from across churches in Bathurst help man the gates for this year’s show.
Young Life is a Christian charity focused on youth, with the aim to build confidence, values and resilience through building positive relationships that model Jesus.
Young Life Bathurst area manager Ansia Klavins said its been a busy week for some volunteers.
“Adrian [Klavins], he’s our supervisor and his done all the shifts,” she said.
“Young Life helped out the Bathurst Light Car Club two years ago and we’ve manned the gates last year and now this year too.
“It’s one of our main fundraisers and goes into our overall budget.
“We’ve tapped into every church in town to get some help.”
Money made from manning the gates will go towards funding youth camps and programs.
“In Bathurst we run four separate programs,” Ms Klavins said.
“We have programs targeted at primary school, high school and teen mums and we will go on various camping trips throughout the year.”
Only this year, Young Life Central West celebrate its 10th anniversary.
