Town and Country is also teaming up with 2BS Gold’s Thumbs up for Farmers campaign, which is collecting valuable goods for farmers in need.
Due to the severe drought conditions across NSW, many farmers are struggling financially and 2BS’s campaign is committed to collecting toiletries which will be donated to farmers in dire straits.
Town and Country consultant Maria Kamper said the campaign and barbecue is a great way to give back to farmers.
“[Town and Country owner] Vicki Wilson decided to put this barbecue on to have a chat with farmers and talk about how to work through the drought,” she said.
“It’s great, especially for farmers’ mental health.
“If there’s no farmers, there’s no food. They’re the backbone of our community.”
The barbecue will run from Monday to Friday from midday to 1pm, indefinitely at Town and Country.
If you would like to contribute to the Thumbs up for Farmers campaign, you can drop items off at 109 George Street or at 11 Kirkcaldy Street.
