The lunch function was organised by Bathurst Regional Council and held at Bathurst Goldfields.
Guest speaker was Bathurst Regional Council economic development manager Steve Bowman and SMART Infrastructure Facility @ UOW (University of Wollongong) Pascal Perez.

Bathurst’s a Smart City with an eye on the future
THE rollout of free wi-fi in the Bathurst CBD and the installation of a Tesla Supercharger for electric cars are among the projects helping Bathurst become a dedicated Smart City.
Bathurst Regional Council has recently joined the Australian Smart Communities Association (ASCA) as part of its commitment to embracing new technologies to provide technology-based services to the public and to manage the city’s assets.
The state and federal governments have also offered rich incentives to encourage the emergence of Smart Cities and a report to councillors by environmental, planning and building services director Neil Southorn has outlined some of the local projects. Read more.
