CONGRATULATIONS to Ron Camplin from Bathurst Broadcasters on a 70-year radio career – so far.
Ron has thrived in an industry that has faced many challenges and throughout he has remained committed to the value of radio as a communication medium.
As a champion for emerging talent, Ron has provided opportunities for many young professionals who have gone onto to work in national and international media organisations.
Ron is loyal to localism and his radio stations continue to promote local content and support community events.

Zak will be back
IT’S almost spring and that means the Bathurst 1000 event is just around the corner.
This week I spoke with Zak Caban on the telephone and can confirm Zak will be returning to Bathurst to cover the great race for us on 2MCE.
Zak has covered the Bathurst 1000 for 2MCE since 2009 and while he’s now living up north working for Queensland Racing, I’m sure he’ll be eager to get back to Mount Panorama in October.
This year Zak will be joined by another CSU student, Mitchell Hiscock who is soon starting his journalism course related internship with 2MCE. I’m sure they will have great fun covering the race.

MAL Kiely from the Pram’s Album Show is taking a break from radio and we wish him all the best for a couple of months of down time.
Mal has made a positive contribution to 2MCE over many years including his involvement and promotion of local and live music on the radio.
