The talented centre/wing attack was in Bathurst last Friday to pay a special visit to a group of netballers from the Mana club.
She came to present Mana Alintas coach Jamee Stair with her 2018 Australia Post One Netball community award, one she earned for her work guiding the first Indigenous team in Bathurst.
Proud also joined with Stair to run a training clinic with the team, that session not just a highlight for both the Mana mentor and her players, but the Super Netball talent as well. She said Stair is an inspiration.
“I have the wonderful opportunity to spend time with people like Jamee, whose commitment to making sure that everyone has an opportunity to participate in netball, regardless of their circumstances, leaves me more motivated than ever to bring my best to the sport and those around me,” Proud, who is an One Netball ambassador, said.
“I think it’s very important to meet with netball communities in regional areas … not just in Sydney where my team is based.

“The opportunity to spend time with amazing individuals and organisations doing such incredible work in developing netball programs that everyone can participate in regional communities is inspiring.
“Competitions, clubs and volunteers like Jamee at the Mana Netball Club are integral to our sport. The quality of netballers at the professional level wouldn’t be possible without grassroots competitions.”
