Events like this, celebrating the efforts and achievements of our local high school students, provide a glimpse into our future, not only as a university but as a region - and the future looks bright.
"Charles Sturt is committed to seeing our communities grow and thrive, and investing in educational partnerships is key to making this happen," our foundation Professor of Engineering Euan Lindsay said.
"Strong communities come from strong citizens, and it is a pleasure to be part of celebrating the achievements of these future leaders."

The evening kicked off with more than 200 students, parents and teachers mingling at a reception in the foyer of the Engineering building at the Bathurst campus.
Relieving principal Michael Sloan spoke of the importance of celebrating the high standard of teaching, learning and leadership of Denison College.
"The high achievers' reception is a great way to bring people together, to recognise these amazing young people, who we are all very proud of," he said.
"In recent years, Charles Sturt University Faculty of Engineering has hosted this event.
"Denison College has a strong educational partnership with Charles Sturt University and this is one example of how we work together.
"To have a high class tertiary institution like Charles Sturt University in our town can only be good for our students."
The guest speaker this year was Arts OutWest CEO Tracey Callinan, who spoke to the students about three key strengths she would encourage them to cultivate: resilience, creativity and collaboration.
Seventy-seven students from years seven through to 12 were recognised for their achievements on the night.
There were so many students worthy of mention, in particular the following year 12 multiple Band 6 recipients:
- Bradley Mounce-Stephens: achieved Band 6 in mathematics and software design and development.
- Saskia Dorsman: achieved Band 6 in mathematics and German beginners.
- Reilly Mitchell: achieved Band 6 in investigating science and personal development, health and physical education. Reilly also achieved band 5 in all his other subjects.
- Josephine Geerkens: achieved Band 6 in textiles and design, visual arts and Band 6 equivalent in English extension 2. Josie also achieved Band 5 in all her other subjects.
- Charlton Lew: achieved Band 6 in chemistry, mathematics, physics, personal development, health and physical education and Band 6 equivalent in mathematics extension 1. Charlton also achieved Band 5 in advanced English.
