Firefighters received a triple-0 call to McIntosh Place in Kelso at 5.30pm on Monday following reports that a car was on fire
Fire and Rescue NSW Kelso Captain Scott Wilson said a Nissan Navara that had been parked in the driveway of a home was well alight upon the arrival of firefighters.
"There was a fire in the engine bay and partial footwells," he said.
Due to the smoke and flames, two firefighters wore breathing apparatus while they extinguished the blaze.
Captain Wilson said the cause of the fire appeared to be mechanical as the car had been driven just 10 minutes prior to the blaze igniting.
