* Victoria announced five new coronavirus deaths, with all of those linked to aged care outbreaks. There have now been 753 deaths across the country.
* Victoria reported 63 new cases on Sunday, down slightly from 76 the day before.
* The state's "roadmap" out of lockdown was revealed with metropolitan Melbourne to stay under stage four restrictions for an extra two weeks with some changes after September 14.
* The curfew will start an hour later at 9pm, outdoor exercise time will be doubled and people who live alone will be able to nominate a friend or family member to visit them.
* In regional Victoria from September 14, up to five people from a maximum of two households can meet outdoors, a staged return to on-site learning for all students in term four and outdoor playgrounds and pools will reopen.
* Eight people have now been charged and more than 180 fines have been handed out during an anti-lockdown rally in Melbourne. Similar protests across NSW led to nine charges and 81 fines.
* NSW recorded 10 new cases, including three linked to the City Tattersalls Club gym cluster, which now numbers 64.
* The prestigious Kincoppal-Rose Bay School in Sydney's east will be closed on Monday after two students tested positive.
* Queensland recorded two new cases, a nurse working with infected patients at Ipswich Hospital and the sister of a student at Staines Memorial College, who was already in quarantine.
* More than 200 staff at the Ipswich Hospital are now in quarantine.
* Both new cases had links to the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre and Queensland Corrective Services training centre outbreaks.
KEY DATES
* August 2 to September 13 - stage four lockdown for Melbourne and stage three lockdown for regional Victoria.
* September 14 to September 27 - stage four lockdown for Melbourne with some changes including curfew moving back an hour to 9pm.
* October 26 - Tasmania's state of emergency is due to expire. In Melbourne, the curfew will be dropped if the average number of new cases falls below five and there are fewer than five unknown source cases.
* November - Victoria's hotel quarantine inquiry report due.
* November 23 - If there are no new cases for 14 days in Melbourne, all retail shops can open, public gatherings of 50 people outdoors, up to 20 visitors at a time allowed into a home, cap of 50 patrons at hospitality venues, and a maximum of 50 people at weddings and funerals.
* December 1 - Tasmania's borders will remain shut until at least the last month of 2020.
AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS
* There were 75 new cases in Australia - 63 in Victoria, 10 in NSW and two in Queensland. Victoria reported an additional five deaths - all linked to aged care outbreaks.
* The national death toll as of Sunday is 753: Victoria 666, NSW 54, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 6, SA 4, ACT 3. (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).
