Hodson entered the last two days of the tournament three shots off the pace but thanks to excellent rounds of 67 and 69 he pulled off a dominant nine stroke victory.
It's the third straight Bathurst championship for Hodson and his seventh overall after previous wins in 2010, 2011, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2019.
Bathurst Golf Club has become accustomed to watching Hodson pull off some special rounds over his past decade of dominance but his latest two have to be up there as some of his best.
His individual record round at Bathurst is 65, which shows just how dialled in he was during the weekend's play.
Hodson was never fazed by the three stroke buffer he had to make up.
"Yesterday was tough and today just as much so, if not harder. I played some good golf over those last two rounds and I think having played in tournaments in the past in similar sort of conditions, all that practice comes into play," he said.
"The biggest difference compared to last weekend was maybe just that extra bit of practice and having the chance to work on a few different things. It all came together yesterday and today.
"Three back into the third round is always a good spot to be. There's not much pressure and you just have to go out there and play smart golf. I went out hoping to sink 18 pars but got a couple of lucky pars in.
"You don't shoot those scores all the time but everything just seemed to go in my favour and I played well."
Following his opening rounds of 76 and 73 on the previous weekend Hodson finished with a total of 285, or one over par.
Michael Stanford - one of only two other players to shoot under par across the weekend - finished on 294 to finish one stroke clear of 2005 and 2006 champion Phil Campbell.
The leader following round two, Stephen McDonald, finished fourth on 297 with a three stroke back to Justin Sutton.
In the B grade race Warren Matthews (325) finished three strokes ahead of Mark Nelson with a six stroke gap back to Matthew Ryan in third.
Matt Lester (345) won the B1 grade crown ahead of Rod Pollard (349) and Terry Staines (350) while C grade went the way of a dominant Matt Bennett (349) with John Rogers (364) and Rod Graham (371) filling the minor placings.
