The Member for Calare said the Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo and Wagga technicians are among 570 employees of Telstra's Network Design & Construction arm who will be sacked across NSW.
Mr Andren said at the weekend that the Telstra subsidiary plans to retrench more than two thirds of its local technicians was a direct result of Telstra's privatisation.
"Residents of the Central West have every reason to be appalled by these latest job cuts and concerned bout what they will mean for local services," said Mr Andren.
"Since its part sale Telstra's handling of NDC has had all the hallmarks of a privatisation by stealth policy.
