Carina Maree Anne Bettles immediately appealed the severity of the sentence and was released on conditional bail until the matter is heard by the District Court.
Bettles, 27, of Toomey Street, Newbridge, faced Bathurst Local Court on Monday for sentence on a charge of knowingly taking part in the supply of a prohibited drug on June 6, 2002.
She had pleaded guilty to the charge which related to 1.57g of methlyamphetamine.
About 8.20pm June 6, 2002, an undercover police officer along with another man went to a house in Carlingford Street as part of a police operation targeting drug suppliers.
A police statement of facts said the two men, including the police operative, "engaged in a transaction” with Bettles and her father.
The two men went into the main bedroom where Bettles gave the man a satchel of white powder. The undercover policeman then gave Bettles $100 in payment.
On seeing this police allege that Bettles' father retrieved the satchel, saying she had given him too much, and instead gave him a smaller weight bag.
Bettles then gave her father the money, the court was told.
The white powder was later analysed and found to be methylamphetamine with a purity of 7.5 per cent and weight of 1.57g.
